NAMIBRE GIVES BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
RED CROSS, ERNST MEYER SCHOOL (GOBABIS) AND OMUTHIYA CIRCUIT (OSHIKOTO REGION) RECEIVE DONATIONS FROM NAMIBRE
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility programme, the Namibia National Reinsurance Corporation Ltd (NAMIBRE) donated at a handover ceremony held 25 July 2016 at NAMIBRE offices, mattresses, blankets and computers valued at N$ 81,371. The handover ceremony was witnessed by Red Cross National Manager for Humanitarian Diplomacy Ms R. Nalisa; Principal of Ernst Meyer School Mr C. Mungunda, Omuthiya Circuit Inspector of Education Mr F. Nangolo, Oshili24 and members of the media.
The items were donated to the following beneficiaries:
1. RED CROSS – forty five Mattresses and fifty blankets (for onward donations to people in impoverished communities);
2. ERNST MEYER SCHOOL – Ten computers; and
3. OMUTHIYACIRCUIT-Twocomputers.
As a State Owned Enterprise (SOE), NAMIBRE strives to compliment Government’s effort to fight poverty. With this objective in mind, the Corporation will continue to divert resources towards initiatives aimed at poverty alleviation, improving health and education and infrastructure development
